Imagine returning from a two-week honeymoon in paradise to find that every single one of your cherished holiday snaps was a complete washout.

Sadly, this was the case for bemused bride Kirsty Fuller, 33, who bought a brand new camera especially for her honeymoon with loved-up hubby Richard Jackson, 37. After spending two wonderful weeks embracing the glorious sights of Rio De Janeiro, exploring tropical rainforests and relaxing on its beautiful beaches – all of which they eagerly documented on the camera -  the pair were devastated when they returned home to find that all 300 pictures from their romantic escape were a blurred, out-of-focus sham.

Just days before the pair from Brighton tied the knot in May 2015, Kirsty bought the Polaroid IE826 18MP compact digital camera, costing just £40, from the King’s Heath branch of Argos.

She intended to take the camera on her honeymoon as a simple way of documenting their adventures so that they could cherish the memories forever but instead, the pair were left with a series of blurred, dull and out-of-focus snaps.

We spoke to Kirsty and exposed her story in national press, including on the Mail Online and Mirror Online.

But Kirsty isn’t the only young woman whose recent adventures in paradise turned out differently than expected.

Karla Hornby’s holiday was turned upside down when she went into labour 12 weeks early whilst on a ‘babymoon’ in Benidorm with her partner.

The 29-year-old jewellery designer from Bolton, Greater Manchester, had booked the escape with partner Jordan as a final romantic holiday before they welcomed their new arrival.

But when her water broke as she paddled in a shallow pool, she knew that her romantic holiday was about to take a rather unexpected turn. Baby Freddie was born in a Benidorm hospital weighing just 2lbs

His parents faced a torturous couple of weeks as the tot tried to gain enough strength to be able to fly home.

Has a duff camera ever cost you cherished memories of a romantic break or special event? Or has an unexpected surprise turned your entire holiday upside down?

We’d love to hear from you.
